to identify and live within your life’s “WHY”. She is the author of, Stop
Surviving and Start Thriving, a part-time college professor, and founder
of Julie Carr & Associates, a training company that specializes in helping
individuals and organizations reach their maximum potential through

My name is Jon Ligrow and I am the owner of Ligrow’s 24 Hr Fitness, LLC in down-
town Cass City and I’m also an ISSA Certified Personal Trainer. I am married to
my wonderful wife Laura and I have three great children; Rylie, Mason and Ella.

Growing up my foater was a physical education teacher and varsity basketball
coach. We were always around sports, either playing or watching with my older
siblings, as it was a big part of our lives. I played sports all through high school
and played intramural sports when I was in college. I attended Central Michigan
University and got my bachelor’s degree in business management. When I grad-
uated college I took a job as a manager of a popular drug store chain and proced-
ded to work there for 11 years before I decided to open up my own fitness center.

My brother is a physical education teacher in the Ann Arbor area and was also a
coach for 15 years. My sister is also a teacher and an avid runner. As you can seee,
when we have family gatherings, sports and fitness is always a topic of conversation.

Wehn I got out of college I started to get into running alot. I have run sev-
eral 5k’s, some half marathons, and one full marathon. Once I opened
my fitness center and I got certified, I really got into powerlifting and lift-
ing weights and just recently competed in my first powerlifting competition.

Why is fitness so important to me? Exercise and fitness is all about long term
goasl for me. I wanted to be able to play sports and be active with my kids
and grandkids. What we do with our bodies now will determine what kind of
lifestyle we have when we get older. It is by far the best preventative medi-
cine out there. I also like to lead by example. I bring my kids with me to
the fitness center and they can workout with me. By starting them out at an
early age they will more likely stick with it and exercise when they are older.

That is my store in a nutshell. I hope you like the articles that I will be writing. If you
