25th Consecutive District Title
Tuscola County
Wednesday, February 7th was a momentous occasion for the Caro
Tuscola County
Wrestling Team. Not just because they won the District Title by de-
feating Pinconning 53-21 in the Semi-Finals and Garber 45-27 in the
fi nals but because this win marks the 25th Consecutive District Title
for the Program. Going 2-0 on the Night for the Tigers where: Keggan
Miller(103), Tom Waggoner(125), John Botkins(130/135), Ty Inch-
es(135/140), Blain Wood(140/145), Garrett Stoick(145/152), DJ Dan-
iels(160), & Hunter Dickson(285). Steven Withers(152) was 1-0. “25
Years, just think about that...A Quarter of a Century. This accomplish-
ment is Shared by all the members of the Caro Wrestling Family who
made this possible. What Coach Steve Ley and Coach Bob Suranye
built is something that is diffi cult to understand unless you know how
much work, dedication, and heart it takes to keep a program going for
this long at this high of a level. During this run Caro has produced 1
Team State Championship, 2 Team Runners Up, 13 Individual State
Championships, and 92 Individual State Medals. Coach Fulton and I
are honored to be apart of this amazing legacy.” -Coach Green
