Tuscola County Conservation Club
2019 winter skeet results
Winter skeet league wrapped
up on April 4th at the Tuscola
County Conservation Club in Caro.
Doug Kline took 1st place actual
with a score of 192 out of a pos-
sible 200 targets. Nick Montei
finished a close second with 191.
Nick is definitely looking for re-
demption in April and May when
the .410 bore, 28 gauge, and
20 gauge scores are posted. In
the handicapped team division
Doug Kline and Mike Green took
1st with 382. Jim Fox and Doug
Elstom took second and Brian
and Kent Schriber took 3rd. the
weather was uncooperative to say
the least. We usually start shoot-
ing scores the first week of Feb-
ruary but even for us die hards it was just too
much. On top of that there were the equipment
failures. On field one the wire that activates
the target thrower shorted out and it just kept
throwing targets one after the other. On field
two the lights shorted out and the targets were
only visible with owl eyes after dark. Thank-
fully, both situations are remedied and we now
have a wireless release that allows more flex-
ibility for members to shoot skeet on their own
schedule. More pictures and club events are
available at tcccmi.com.
