Tuscola County Conservation Club
                    2019 winter skeet results

                                                                           Winter skeet league wrapped
                                                                      up on April 4th at the Tuscola
                                                                      County Conservation Club in Caro.
                                                                      Doug Kline took 1st place actual
                                                                      with a score of 192 out of a pos-
                                                                      sible 200 targets. Nick Montei
                                                                      finished a close second with 191.
                                                                      Nick is definitely looking for re-
                                                                      demption in April and May when
                                                                      the .410 bore, 28 gauge, and
                                                                      20 gauge scores are posted. In
                                                                      the handicapped team division
                                                                      Doug Kline and Mike Green took
                                                                      1st with 382. Jim Fox and Doug
                                                                      Elstom took second and Brian
                                                                      and Kent Schriber took 3rd. the
                                                                      weather was uncooperative to say
                                                                      the least. We usually start shoot-
                                                                      ing scores the first week of Feb-
                                                ruary but even for us die hards it was just too
                                                much. On top of that there were the equipment
                                                failures. On field one the wire that activates
                                                the target thrower shorted out and it just kept
                                                throwing targets one after the other. On field
                                                two the lights shorted out and the targets were
                                                only visible with owl eyes after dark. Thank-
                                                fully, both situations are remedied and we now
                                                have a wireless release that allows more flex-
                                                ibility for members to shoot skeet on their own
                                                schedule. More pictures and club events are
