2017-2018 Kingston Cardinals Girls Basketball

The Kingston Girls Basketball Team has had an unbelievable season winning their League, Dis-
trict, and Regional Titles. They carried a 23-0 record into the Quarterfinal game against Waterford
Our Lady of the Lakes. Unfortunately, this is where their season ended with a 42-28 loss.
Coach Jay Green said that his team is a special group of girls because of their attitude, competitive-
ness, and great team chemistry. They support each other and their unselfishness really shows up
on the floor. The girls know their roles and are more concerned about winning then statistics. We
are a well balanced team with 6 girls averaging between 5 and 10 points per game. Juniors Jillyan
Dinsmore, Camryn Macguire (captain), Lily Lyons, and Carley Smith have been on the Varsity since
their Freshman year. Junior Gerilyn Carpenter finishes out the starting line up and Freshmen Han-
nah James Is a quality 6th girl. Seniors Grace Dinsmore (captain), Kasia Giddings, Juniors Emily
Warrington, Kendra Delong, and Ashtain Davis, and Sophomore Brooke Mooney are also important
members of the team. It has truly been a joy to work with these girls this year.
Congratulations to the Cardinal girls that did such a good job representing their community, the
league, and the Thumb area with their success this season! Coached by Jay Green
